I had a vague memory from our last trip to Hot Springs that there was a place near the casino that had looked like a home cooking place, and Phil's was it! This little house converted to a restaurant is chock full of funky antiques and vintage collectibles. One high area is nothing but old egg beaters; another wall space is filled with wall pockets. While you're waiting for your food you have plenty to keep your eyes busy! I ordered a chef salad and it was far more than I could finish - chock full of fresh ingredients, lots of ham and turkey, and a big slice of bacon right on top. My husband ordered a hamburger steak and mashed potatoes, and if you find the pic I just posted you'll see that he had more potatoes than he could eat! It was a friendly place and the food was good, and it's definitely worth a return trip.
