This restaurant was recommended for breakfast by our hotel and we were not disappointed. This is a small homely restaurant and the food certainly did not disappoint and very adequate portions. A number of locals seemed to be eating there, which is always a good sign and the staff were friendly and efficient. Whilst we had breakfast, they are also open for other meals. Would certainly recommend you try this place. Very reasonably priced also.
We had breakfast on a Sunday morning about 10:30 am, breakfast ends at 11:00. We enjoyed the meal and Phil was our waiter, he ran his tail off serving us and other tables. They were slammed but the food did not take that long to appear. Must be the best $4.50 breakfast you can get in Hot Springs. Right across from Oakland so it may be even more busy during racing season. We ate here instead at the Pancake Shop because everyone said the wait would be too long even though it was just across from the Arlington Hotel where we stayed. Phil's is only about 10 min. drive. Check Phil's out, they serve lunch and dinner (Mon-Thurs) as well.
A MUST dining experience!!!! If you have never been, you MUST GO!!! Be sure you come hungry because Phil believes in FULL plates and more than enough to carry out too!!! Phil does ALL the cooking himself and the food is to die for and Sierra and Paul Russell Miller make the dining experience unforgettable!!! Take a look at the pic......this is one homemade pecan pancake (more like 3) and 1 scrambled egg (more like 4) with bacon and sausage. The food is so delicious and very reasonable!! So glad we found this quaint restaurant on our last trip two weeks ago!! I know food and I PROMISE you, you won't be disappointed!!! You will luv it!!!! We do!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
If you're up and you're really hungry, this is the place where you want to stop. I have never been to a place with a 6 egg omelette. omelets come standard this way. So, to the cut down on the amount of calories I took in, I asked for egg whites. The omelet was still relatively large, packed with all the ingredients that they can muster in there including jalapenos onions bell peppers bacon ham sausage. In order to get the omelet down, I had to go for only tasting the hash browns that were loaded with bell pepper and onion. My food was good. If you are in a hurry, this is not the place to go to. If you do have the time, please check this place out. Another recommendation from Mike on the duck tour.
Me, my husband, & son came in today & had your patty melts! You have an awesome waitress that was so sweet to my 2 year old & went above and beyond to meet our needs! My husband loved the food! Only sad thing was is that I didn't get your specialty potato salad! Lol Love visiting Hot Springs & Phil's! ❤
