We visited Phil's Restaurant on Saturday morning. We wanted to try a new place in Hot Springs since we always eat at the same places. We'd read the Trip Advisor's reviews and were not disappointed. It was a busy weekend in town and they were packed. Some friendly people offered my husband and I and our friends to join them at their table since they had room for us. It was an enjoyable visit and one of the ladies knew a lady from where we live, (400 miles away). The wait was expected since they were so busy but we didn't mind. It was totally worth it because the food was outstanding. The waitress well attended to all of our needs. We cannot wait to go back and eat with them again. Phil's Family Restaurant — 5 star
So much food for the price!! Love, love, love this little place! So clean, and the staff is so very friendly! This is our "go to place"! You can't beat good ole home cooking!!From the outside, we didn't expect much from the bright yellow older house set too far off the main road. (Across from the Casino) but upon entering we were amused to find the walls covered in all kinds of retro collections of salt and pepper shakers, plates, platters, clocks, spice jars, icecream scoops, frames and other iconic pieces from days gone by. With all this perfectly placed clutter youd expect some dust..but that was not the case. This place was immaculately clean.
The lady at the front desk of our hotel recommended Phils for breakfast. It was the best breakfast ever! The hot cakes are the size of a dinner plate and have the texture of cake rather than pancakes. Bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy were all amazing. The decor will remind you of grandma's house or maybe great-grandma's house. Cute!
