Today was my second time to go their for lunch...OMG...very large portions and very good!! We will be back and did I mention lunch specials are only $5.99Never have left without being full and satisfied. Great place! The club sandwich is great and the chicken fried steak is wonderful but I am a Phil's chicken and dumpling addict. Wednesday lunch special and get there early because he runs out !I have been going to Phil's when they were at the old Evelyn and Carol's on grand never had a bad meal there great place to eatIt is very good, the omelette is unbelievably good!!No better breakfast in town. Great people to.You can never go wrong with Phil's !!Let me tell you a story about breakfast. My husband and I were looking for a bite to eat before voting in this damnable election and I said let's check out Phil's. I was hungry and opted for the pork chop and 2 eggs with hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy. My hubby got the ham with the same sides. Our eggs and hashbrowns were perfect. I'm picky about fried eggs over medium and these were spot on! The hashbrowns, which I added onions and cheese to, were crispy and creamy. The biscuits and gravy came next, and the gravy was in a soup bowl, full to the brim. My husband loves gravy so his heart was won. His ham was a good quality and a nicely sized steak. My pork chop was late to the table, but once she got there, she was the star. Loin chop, well seasoned, caramelized and so large it was butterflied. My husband got a bite and cussed it was so good. Now, I am a BIG eater. But Phil's portions did me in! I left with a to go box. Unheard of for me at breakfast. The prices were comparable with other diners in town, but the quality and portions knocked it out of the park! I'm going back to try their lunch when I recover.☺💖 We love Phil's and the friendly service you experience each and every visit..!! |
