We love Phil’s! And it’s not expensive either.Oh my goodness! My husband and I decided to try Phil’s for a rainy Saturday brunch and ten people could have eaten and be full from our orders! The pancakes are the size of plates and the omelette was huge and amazing! Everything was delicious! My mother and I had the special which was a fried steak with two sides. Not only was the meal incredibly affordable and delicious, but the service and atmosphere is fantastic. I will be coming back.Took us over 2 years to finally get to Phil's restaurant, slightly tricky to find but worth looking for ... we went in for breakfast today (Sunday) but we didn't arrive until 11:30 and they had switched over to the lunch menu. Was hard to get excited about having lunch as we watched everyone around us eating some amazing looking pancakes, eggs, biscuits/gravy. So we decide to roll with it and ordered the weekend lunch specials, a hamburger steak for me and pork loin for my husband. The portions at this place are HUGE ... next time we come here I will definitely ask for a smaller portion (fine paying for the whole amount - it is just too much food for one person to eat and I hate wasting food) Everything was great, tasted like going home to grandmas (yes a few things seem to not be made from scratch - but my grandma had a can opener she used on occasion!) Staff was friendly and efficient and atmosphere very homey. Can't wait to get back and be on time for breakfast (also going to have to try this place for dinner as I heard our waitress telling the table next to us about their steaks ... great local restaurant I'm sure we will make a regular stop)Homestyle cooking. A LOT of food for your money.Chocolate gravy and biscuits for breakfast today was amazing as always. 😍 Chili for lunch was perfect.Great food, great portions, great serviceBreakfast of champions... my fav place in hot springs any time of the day.. |
